One can feel and perceive that they have joy in fulfilling the precepts of their faith. Going deeper, we can each, perhaps, see in our own life the times when we have left Jesus behind… the anxiety when apart and the joy and peace that comes when we have again found Jesus and placed Him in the center of our family. In this last article of the series featured in the IntegratedCatholicLife.org, I will explore some of the lessons for living from the Holy Family. He went to the Temple with Mary and Joseph. This year, however, I invite us to take a deeper look and to celebrate and remember the yeses of the Holy Family. On December 29, the feast of the Holy Family, Pope Francis spoke in a special way to families. As full time church worker, it gave me more insight on the difficult life experiences that widows normally go through that is apparent in churches today. Our little Nazareth can be the refreshing and silent sanctuary we seek to enter each day as we work toward our common goal. As Christians, we must have a teachable and humble attitude. In the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we can learn the way of love in the School of Nazareth. What can we learn from Ruth? The Gospel reading shows us right away that the Holy Family was… From them we will learn many virtues for Christian family life and, through their inspiration, to practice them in our homes and among our own families. Perhaps now is the time for us to knock on the door of the Holy Family’s home in Nazareth and move from being an onlooker peering in to a guest in their home. There’s a lot we can learn from the Holy Family that can help our own family grow in faith and love. We know this story by heart. Sometimes we may not want to obey our family’s rules. It’s the Holy Family – Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. Fidelity It wasn’t just that they had to do it. He highlighted the Holy Family of Nazareth and talked about the difficulties that families face. We cannot measure the growth of Mary and Joseph in holiness. A Perfect Example And, on the last Sunday of the year, we honor them as we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family. They wanted to do it. Close in prayer by asking Jesus to help us be children who respect and obey our parents and follow their rules. 1. The Church proclaims that Christian marriage, and the family founded upon it, is a vocation, a response to the call of the Lord to follow Him.
